Because of the theme park attractions for children in Orlando, the busiest seasons are dictated by school vacations. The cheapest flights can usually be found outside vacation times. Examples are late May, early June or in the autumn.
Most Orlando flights from international locations arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Daytona Beach and Tampa Airports are 50 and 80 miles from Orlando.
Buses and taxis provide transport for the 6.5 miles from Orlando Airport to the city centre.
If visiting theme parks it’s best to plan in advance and buy tickets online to avoid the inevitable long queues.
